El Rancho de las Golondrinas

If you’ve spent any time looking through my blog, you’ll likely come away with the idea that I really enjoy the Southwest.  And you’d be right.  I am forever mystified by the sights, smells, sounds and tastes that you can find across the American Southwest – it’s sensory overload for someone who studied the Spanish borderlands in grad school…

Today I share one of my favorite images from a trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico I took for the annual meeting of the Association for Living History, Farms and Agricultural Museums (ALHFAM).   The image is of a very small church at El Rancho de las Golondrinas, which is a fantastic living history museum just outside of Santa Fe.
