The angle of this shot is amazing !! I think it looks great in this sepia like tone that you have used – or is it the monochrome (I don’t know a lot about changing the images digitally) But either way – it speaks volumes to me !!!

Thanks! You should be able to adjust the settings in your D40 through your menu functions – on my Canons you can find it in the color setups…
Shot this with my 11×16 lens, helped with the wiiiiiiiide angle of this shot. 😉

If you’re going to be shooting a lot of landscape type stuff, a wide angle is a necessity!
I’m using a Tokina 11×16 2.8/f and really like it.

OK – I caved, I got a Tokina 12×24 – I played with it last night and WOW!!! you weren’t kidding that is so much better !!! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction – there is a new pic on my blog that I took using it called “Rocky Reflection”. If ya have time to check it out. Have a great day!

Nice depth of field here…the monochromatic rendition really stresses the form of things and the textures.
