Anyone who wants to fight me all the time

The Handbook of Texas is a fantastic resource for all things Texan.  The Handbook tells us about the Comanche Indians:

A vast area of the South Plains, including much of North, Central, and West Texas, soon became Comanche country, or Comanchería. Only after their arrival on the Southern Plains did the tribe come to be known as Comanches, a name derived from the Ute word Komántcia, meaning “enemy,” or, literally, “anyone who wants to fight me all the time.”

Snapped these pictures of this fellow over the weekend…  He claimed to be a Comanche, and considering Cynthia Ann Parker had blue eyes, it’s entirely within the realm of possibility.
