Attack of the biker gang….

Here’s part of a fun little stage we shot this past Wednesday night.  The Match Director brought in a working antique motorcycle that we sat on throughout the stage.  Fairly cut and dry stage, shoot the targets on the right, then the targets on the left and then the last center target.

This is the kind of stage that gives some folks a fit.  Throw in a distraction – in this case a really cool motorcycle prop – and let people solve the shooting problem.  Since folks are distracted because they are doing something they normally don’t do – shoot while seated, and on an old motorcycle on top of it – and lots of mistakes and faux pas tend to happen.

However, if you are able to focus on the task at hand – put holes in the target’s “down zero” zone as fast as you can – and ignore the distractions, then you will do just fine.

Biker gang

It’s a lot like photography – ignore the distractions of the weather, the wind, the cold or the heat – and focus on what’s important like lighting and composition, and life is good.
