Max Michel, Jr.
I’ve had the pleasure of taking a shooting class from Max Michel, Jr. and his cohort in crime, Travis Tomasie and all I can say is that the two of them are a class act. Max was a member of the elite Army Marksmanship Unit until he got out of the service and became Team Captain for the Sig Sauer shooting team.
One of the coolest thing about the world of practical shooting is that you can literally walk up to the very best shooters in the world -literally the Joe Montanas of our sport – and shoot the breeze with them about everything from catching up to how they are going to attack the shooting challenge as presented. I have yet to meet one of those guys that won’t stop and take the time to visit with you and just be an all around good ambassador of the sport.
I snapped these images of Max at the recent 3rd annual Pro-Am match, held at the fantastic range at the United States Shooting Academy (USSA).
