Ft. McKavett, cont’d

In addition to being occupied by the US Army, Ft. McKavett was also used by Texas Rangers as an outpost from which to launch patrols along the major watersheds of the area.  Quite a bit of Texas history here for sure.

I used a tried and true trick of photographers with this set of photos – the light was not helpful at all during my time at the Fort.  So I did what any number of other photographers do when the light’s not right…. convert to black and white, or in this case, sepia.  😉

  1. Beautiful, especially the first one. Supernatural.

  2. It worked out very nicely. Interesting series you have going on these forts.

  3. The first shot was great…felt as if being drawn (hypnotized)towards the finish point..the sepia touch does make a lot of difference…will surely try it out!!
