Fort Phantom Hill, III

Wrapping up our visit to Fort Phantom Hill….

Let there be light

As you can see in the above image, the storm clouds started rolling in as the Duke and I were wrapping up our tour around Phantom Hill.   I decided to be patient and wait to see if the sun would break through the clouds and illuminate the scenery in front of me…. which it did before too long.

head west young man!

The Duke

The Duke couldn’t let the opportunity pass without threatening me with his trusty Zippo lighter and the small canon at the fort.

  1. Wow Derrick, you have been very industrious traveling, photographing and blogging lately. Many people might call these fine documentary photographs, but they have excellent artistry as well. I admire that you follow your own interests in what you photograph.

  2. THANKS David. I’ve been quite a bit inspired by your father’s travels and work. Motivation!

  3. Hey derrick, this series of images is great. Love the history and portrayal of American history you provide Cheers Adrian
