Love Tap

Caught this scene at the US Cavalry National Championships last week in San Angelo, Texas at Ft. Concho.

Luckily, I was looking their way as the scene started to unfold and was able to get on the camera quick enough to capture this moment between man and beast.

Nuzzle

This was exactly the kind of image I was looking for at the competition.   You know that a scene like this transpired frequently at the fort when it was in its heyday after the Civil War.  If only the car wasn’t behind the two players in this scene, it would be perfect!

  1. If this were my photograph or even Dad’s, Carr Clifton would razz me half-joking and say, “Take the car out.” I wonder if it would be going too far to just fuzzy up that car enough so you can’t tell what it is? I don’t think it’s a big stretch and if you disclose it people would understand. I know with Dad’s photographs I of course staunchly refuse such temptations, but with my own, hmmm, I might consider it not that big a deal as long as I am up front about it.
