The highest level of competitors at the Cavalry Competition a few weeks back not only had to negotiate a series of jumps and obstacles but they had to slice and dice potatoes at various locations on the course.

This gives a whole new meaning to “Don’t mess with Texas.” I was trying to think of a one-liner, something about Texas and slicing potatoes, but I thought I would leave well enough alone since they are that good at slicing and dicing. Great timing on the photo too.

Thanks David – good choice as this particular trooper is a newly retired Sargent with multiple tours overseas. From watching, and listening to the friendly smack talk between all the troopers, he is pretty well thoughts of and is one of the better skilled riders.
