Shelter

Alas, all good things must come to an end and I had to climb back down the hill that the Mariscal Mine sits on.   All was not lost, however, as there were still a few things that needed their picture taken.

Shelter

There are quite a few structures left standing like this one at the base of the Mariscal Mine, in various states of disrepair.  What they all share, however, is the sound of the wind whistling through their nooks and crannies and some of the best views you can find anywhere.

Once upon a time, this was a thriving community.  Slowly but surely, nature is reclaiming its territory and all that will be left will be the foundations.  Sometime in the future, I’m sure that those will be covered up and hidden by time’s ravages as well.
