Raptor time

My next few posts are going to focus on the wonderful birds from the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center.  The good folks there have a mission that  is dedicated to environmental preservation through public education and the conservation of birds of prey and wildlife in their natural habitat.

I was lucky enough to catch one of their educational shows and the next few posts will feature their birds of prey.

  1. Wow – these are very cool, Mr. B!
I really struggle with animal shots – I’m twitchy and slow, and they’re twitchy and fast (not a very good photographic combination)! 🙂

  2. What a striking bird. And such attitude! Like, ‘Yeah, look at my blue beak. Pretty cool, huh? Wish YOU had a beak like that, dontcha? Yeah, I bet you DO.” 🙂

  3. Sharp Shots! is that the place on the shore of Lake Lavon? I read an article about a raptor center out there maybe a year or two ago.

  4. Wonderful, wonderful, Derrick. We are big hawk fans and these shots are so cool.
