Brazen!
Not nearly as shy as the little 6 point in the previous post, this brazen young lady was quite content to hang it all out there for everyone to see. And she wasn’t concerned in the least bit that she had someone checking her out!
It wasn’t long after this shot that another one of the does in the group started to get tired of my attentions. She started to blow, and stomp her foot; giving warning to everyone else that there was trouble in the area. Not wanting to get them all worked up, I eased back the way I came and left the deer to finish their evening meal.
What a pretty shot. The light is wonderful. You found some great framing for these deer shots, Derrick. I don’t think I’ve seen any shots like them.

Thanks Sharon!! I was just happy to see a herd of deer that weren’t out there suffering in the drought. The light sure didn’t hurt either. 😉

Combination of the sun at my back (and in their eyes), a cross wind that was blowing the wind away from the deer, my moving slowly and at an angle to the deer rather than straight on…. and the fact that state park deer often times are pretty acclimated to people. 😉
