Breaking in…

Took about a hundred mile little road trip yesterday, breaking in my new bike.  Luckily, there’s plenty of things to see while you’re out cruising the Texas landscape looking for photograph opportunities.  However…. you never know what you’re going to come across, so while I was out looking for cool things in the natural world, my eyes were drawn instead to some other things.

requisite motorcycle shot... it's good for life!

I found this sign/mural just off main street in Pilot Point, Texas.

old and new curves

Heading back home, I caught a glimpse of this outstanding 1955 Chevy and had to stop and get a closer look.

You’ve just gotta love the curves on the old classic cars….  Did a little retro re-touching on most of these, thought it was fitting!

  1. Great series. They’re all outstanding, especially the second one. I like the last one second best with the echo of the repeated lines. The first one I like third, though I might even like the sign without the bike. I love photographing old cars too. Sounds like a fun road trip.

  2. Retro-fabulous, Mr. B…
    too cool!

  3. “Get your motor runnin’
    Head out on the highway
    Lookin’ for adventure
    And whatever comes our way…”

    YOU certainly found it! 🙂

  4. Love it Derrick. Great selection, and beautifully processed.

  5. Roll me away!! Love the series, especially the first one Derrick. The retro processing is perfect for the series.
