Ft. Richardson coyotes

I was out shooting the evening light at Ft. Richardson on Sunday and while I was scouting around for a spot, a group of coyotes decided they would salute the setting sun.

After listening a second, I remembered the 7D had video and was able to catch the end of their evening serenade.  I also remembered, right after I hit the “record” button, to turn my back to the wind and shelter the mic from the breeze.  I think all things said and done, the recording turned out pretty good and was able to catch some of the sunset’s color as well.

I love listening to these guys every chance I get!  It’s a testament to their survival that even in the midst of this horrid drought they are out doing their thing.

  1. Glad I was actually able to find my earphones! This is pretty cool, Mr. B!

  2. I love listening to them too. Thanks for sharing that with us. 🙂

  3. It is good to hear they are making it, Derrick. When I lived south of Ft. Worth, in the country, we had regular coyote visitors. Our springer spaniel had a coyote girlfriend for a while!
