While out a few weeks ago working on the fort’s book, I was totally stymied by the first day’s weather.  While it was cool and overcast for the first day, it really made for terribly boring and uninspiring images of the Texas landscape.

However, there’s always something to take a picture of, and I was inspired by the work of PJ and his wonderful abstracts like this one.

I was drawn to the texture of the first image, and the splash of color in the second.  “Green” took me several times to get right, playing with the exposure until I was able to capture what my eyes were seeing.

  1. Thanks for the shout-out my friend.

I like what you’ve done here — great job of working with what you had available. You’re right… there’s always something to see. Sometimes it just takes a little digging.

  2. Not too shabby, Mr. B!
    Not too shabby at all!
