Storm over Santa Fe
If I’ve learned anything at all about photography in the last 3 years or so it’s that you just can’t stop experimenting or learning on how to better capture the world around you.
This shot is one of those “experiments” that I think turned out quite nicely! My father’s house is high up on the backside of Sandia mtn…. and I took this image from his front porch. A storm had just passed over, and you can see the clouds pushing off to distant Santa Fe – the lights on the horizon. It was nearly a full moon as well and the pine trees were lit solely from the light on the porch.
Lots going on here, what do you think??
Pretty photo! Love the different lights!
God Bless You!

There is a lot to explore here, Mr. B… but it all seems of benefit to the image.
And as Jennifer has said all that great movement really ‘pulls you in’ to the frame.

Very interesting and colorful photo! I really like how the photo almost “sucks” you in as if the viewer is going to fly in between the trees and clouds. Definitely keep experimenting. I always enjoy seeing your progression and perspective.
Oh and post more pictures up of beautiful Santa Fe (how lucky is your dad to have that gorgeous view?!) It’s been soooo cloudy and dismal here in upstate NY that even my son asks me, “do I have to go to bed now?” and it’ll only be 10:30 am! LOL
