Dust of snow
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
Robert Frost – 1923
I recently traveled up to the mountains in New Mexico to attend the funeral of a very good man. The day of his wake, the first snow of the season hit the mountains and I went for a walk in the fresh snow the next day. Frost’s poem sums up the day quite nicely I do believe!
So perfect. Beautiful!

Thanks inky! When I saw that scene it lifted my spirits a bit. I did a cursory search of winter oriented poems but most of them were just depressing ;). This Frost poem hit the spot.
