Jefferson General Store
One of my photo buddies and me recently visited Caddo Lake and on the way home, we stopped by historic Jefferson, Texas. By the late 1840s, Jefferson was a major inland port for the State of Texas, delivering cotton and produce downstream to New Orleans and goods and products upstream.
Today, it seems to be well known as a tourist destination, particularly for haunted history – although in the short time my friend and I were there we had no spectral encounters.
I did buy a large bag of homemade taffy though, at the old General Store that was nearly eaten on the way home!

Great photo!
