Making lemonade
Way back when… I would go to some lengths to set up a photo adventure. And then show up to some far flung location and have mother nature not cooperate AT ALL. It would drive me insane. All that time, effort, money, vacation time wasted etc etc etc.
It finally hit me that worrying about things you can’t control is futile because as much as we like to pretend we’re in control we’re really not.
Once I figured that out, my photo trips became much more relaxing!

My buddy and I went to Caddo Lake to find some great fall color and instead we were met with flat grey skies. The absolute pits for landscape photography. There wasn’t even enough texture in the clouds to get some good contrast. So instead, I went around looking for reflections and mirrored images and just focused on the pleasure of being outside and not cooped up somewhere!
