A tale of two rides
My Sunday bike ride in the National forest started out lovely. Temps are very comfortable, the wind is not bad back in the trees and a bright blue cloudless sky ruled the day.

About midway, however, what looked like storm clouds began to form on the horizon…. I was somewhat surprised, as the weather apps had us dialed in for a perfect, rainless day.
As I got closer and closer, it became apparent that it wasn’t rain clouds, but smoke from a rather large fire. Once under the smoke, the temperature dropped rather suddenly, and what was a bright cheerful day turned into a cold and gloomy, even eerie afternoon.

It took awhile to get out from under the smoke and haze and I was very happy to see blue sky once again!
Beautiful photography, as always! Where was the fire? I hope it turned out okay.
