Iconic places are iconic for a reason…. Places like the Tetons, Death Valley, Yellowstone and Big Bend will move you if you let them.
The Window at Big Bend is probably one of the most photographed locations in the state. Having been there many, many times, I can tell you that while it is always gorgeous, Mother Nature does not always co-operate with you to provide a light show in addition to the natural splendor that surrounds you in the Basin. The evening that I captured this shot was not one of *those* evenings. Mother Nature put on a helluva show, and I was glad to be there to see it.
Beautiful! I’m sure it was even more spectacular in person!
