Inside the Lowell Mill

The clatter as you enter the mill is almost deafening.  And they only have a small fraction of the machinery running.  I couldn’t imagine just how overpowering the racket would be on a daily basis.

It is easy to see why the original workers in the mill were small – there’s barely any room to negotiate in and around the various machinery.

Working inside the mill must have been terribly difficult, hard work, but

the end result is beautiful, however.

  1. Neat stuff, Derrick! I would have been lost for hours shooting in a place like that! How intereting!

    • Thank you, ma’am! Lowell should be pretty easy to get to for you, it’s worth the trip!

      • I actually attended one semester of college at U of Lowell. Too bad photography wasn’t even on my radar then…I might have avoided getting an engineering degree…
